Throw Greg Beros a challenge and he’ll come up with half a dozen well-thought-out solutions. The third-term Councillor from Oak Ridges is never afraid to bring ideas to the table that benefit residents of his Oak Ridges community and the Town of Richmond Hill.
Greg’s business experience gives him a solid background for his work on the town’s Economic Development Task Force, the Civic Precinct Task Force and the People Plan Task Force. He’s keenly aware that every dollar spent is a taxpayer’s dollar. One of his proudest accomplishments has been the creation of the highly-praised Oak Ridges Community Centre. Greg is a knowledgeable proponent of technology and the power of social media, which offers exciting new ways for communities to share ideas and opinions. However, he also believes in the human connection. As a member of the Richmond Hill Public Library Board, he’s been actively involved in the process of reinventing the library’s role in a community as it transitions to a social hub and community resource.
Greg has proudly lived in Oak Ridges for most of his life and has been involved in everything from being President of the Oak Ridges Lions Club, Chairing the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign to raing funds for local sports and not for profits. Councillor Beros is a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces. He is currently an officer (2Lt) in the Air Force. Second Lieutenant Beros is working with 778 Banashee Air Cadets in Richmond Hill as the Assistant Training Officer.
